Dr. Melinda Rhodes King—known affectionately by her patients and team as Dr. MeMe—is a trusted and familiar face in West Alabama’s dental community. As co-founder of Rhodes & Rhodes Family Dentistry, she is proud to serve Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas with compassionate, comprehensive care grounded in both science and heart.
A Homegrown Approach to Modern Dentistry
A proud native of Sawyerville, Alabama, Dr. MeMe grew up with strong family and community values—foundations that still influence how she practices dentistry today.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, then went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, one of the nation’s top dental programs.
After dental school, she returned to West Alabama to provide care in the Tuscaloosa area, where she’s now practiced for over 10 years. Today, she delivers a full spectrum of general and cosmetic dental services, blending high-level clinical care with a genuinely welcoming approach.
